WETHERSFIELD TOWN HALL / LIBRARY RENOVATIONS BUILDING COMMITTEE MINUTES - MONDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2005

Chairman Coombs called the Meeting to order at 12:17 P.M. in the Public Works Conference Room. Members present were Paul Camarco, Joseph Coombs, David Edwards, Carmen Pace, Stuart Temple and Tim Tuell. Staff Liaison Tony Martino and Mike Turner were also present. Committee Member Raymond Grasso was absent.

  1. Public Comments:
    1. None.
  2. Review and Approve Temporary Fire Alarm System - Amount not to exceed $10,000:
    1. Temporary Fire Alarm System - Mike Turner went over the Change Order request. He advised members this is not add on but a part of the $70,000 allowance in Nutmeg's contract. Gary Santoro has already reviewed this request and signed off on it. The system will have pull stations at each doorway. This is a 110-volt system and will not be compatible with the new system that is 24-volt. Mike estimates the total cost of this will be around $9,000. He is currently reviewing the requirements for the permanent system. The purpose of this special meeting is to authorize the contractor to do this work. He will have it completed prior to our next regular scheduled meeting on February 14, 2004. Motion by Paul Camarco seconded by Stuart Temple to approve this change order not to exceed $10,000. All members voted in favor.

    1. Town Hall & Library Renovations:
      1. Project status effects were discussed in item 2 above.
  4. Next Scheduled Meeting:
    1. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be Monday February 14, 2005 at 6:00PM in the Public Works Conference Room.
  5. Adjournment: Motion by Tim Tuell seconded by Carmen Pace to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 12:25 PM. All members voted in favor.
