Chairman Andy Wizner called the meeting to order at 8:05 PM in the Town Hall Conference Room. The meeting was attended by Commissioners Tracy Gionfriddo, Rebecca Zaliznock, and Robert Pulford. Also in attendance was Kathy Bagley of the Parks and Recreation Department; and Councilor Matt Forrest.
The May 11, 2005 Minutes were approved (Motion by T. Gionfriddo, Seconded by R. Pulford).
Matt Forrest:
The Town Council approved the request for $1,400 for signage along the Phase II portion of Heritage Way trail.
Kathy Bagley:
The DEP Grant check for the Phase II construction of Heritage Way has been received and work on the trail system is expected to begin sometime in late summer.
R. Pulford report:
The subcommittee for the Heritage Way recreational trail signage met with the Rocky Hill Parks and Recreation Department to tour and discuss the joining of the Heritage Way trail with the Rocky Hill Ferry Park system, with emphasis on signage and the installation of posters. A. Wizner suggested the consideration of the Town of Wethersfield re-naming one of the roads in the Great Meadows area "Heritage Way".
Open Space Inventory:
To date, the Open Space Inventory is incomplete. Forms and maps are available from C. Guise for the teams assigned to specific properties in Town. All photographs of the properties should be digital for entry into the Town's GIS database.
