MINUTES (Approved)
April 11, 2007
Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center, Wethersfield, CT

In attendance: Ginny Judson, Cindy Jacobs, and Judy Parker. Also in attendance: Christopher Shepard. Absent: Paul Lomardo.

Ginny called the meeting to order at 5:20 p.m.

  1. Minutes: Tabled.
  2. Public Comments: None.
  3. Energy Conservation Strategies: Cindy reported that Bill Leahy completed the benchmark analysis. Everybody will read to discuss at the next meeting. Cindy also reported on her conversation with the Board of Education staff person coordinating the behavior modification efforts.
  4. Connecticut Clean Energy Options Program: Ginny reported that the website has not been updated since January. She will find out why.
  5. Renewable Energy Earned: Tabled.
  6. Renewable Energy Purchased: Tabled.
  7. Community Innovations Grant Program: Ginny provided a draft solicitation letter and made note of suggested edits. Judy will help staff distribute it to the civic organizations listed in the Town calendar. Applications will be due by June 15. Cindy will develop a brief version for announcement on Wethersfield Community Television, and staff will issue a press release.
  8. Publicity: Tabled.
  9. Other Old Business: Judy will contact Luke Macintyre about joining the committee.
  10. Other New Business: None.
  11. Other Announcements: Ginny shared information on the State's progress report on the Connecticut Climate Change Action Plan.
  12. Meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m. for lack of a quorum when Cindy Jacobs left.
