Treasurer's Report:
- We collected $320 at the February 9th cabaret. The scholarship balance is now $964.
- There is $700 in the General Fund.
New Business:
- Since Norm Hanenbaum does such a wonderful job with the Alleluia Players, Liz suggested that we call Scott Haney at Channel 3 and recommend Norm for the "Hometown Hero" series. Jeanne agreed to do this and will report back to the committee next month.
Scholarship Committee:
- Jeanne contacted Karl Kumme's office and he will call her back next week.
Publicity Committee:
- Pat thanked Dawn and Ruth Ann for their work on publicity for the cabaret.
Old Business:
- Ellen reported that she contacted Ben Altman. He is available to perform on October 7th in conjunction with the Robbins House tour. His fee would be $800 and if we wanted the singer, the fee would be $1,000. Discussion ensued and we all agreed that his singer, "Honey", should be included. Pat made a motion to pay Ben Altman $1,000. Seconded by Liz.
- Janet Klett has agreed to provide tents for the event in case of inclement weather. The showmobile will be reserved.
- The Children's Theater is March 31st, 2:00 p.m. at the High School. Liz, Jeanne, Fran and Ruth Ann will help the Parks and Recreation Department on that day.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m. Mary-Beth will chair the next meeting in Pat's absence. The next meeting is April 9, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at the Community Center.
