Called to order 4:25 p.m.

Judy moved to accept the 2/13/08 meeting minutes as corrected. Michael seconded. Approved unanimously.

  2. There were no public comments.
  3. Christopher and Judy volunteered to facilitate small groups as needed at the Wethersfield Green Summit on 3/13/08. Ginny, Chris and Michael plan to participate. Ginny and other co-sponsors were guests on the most recent Mayor's show on Wethersfield Community Television.

Ginny, Michael, Christopher and Councilor Matthew Forrest will attend the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities award presentation program on 3/13/08. Christopher will ask the CT Clean Energy Fund about coordinating press efforts.

  4. Reviewed draft Community Energy contract for purchasing clean energy this fiscal year: discussed whether marketing agreements were necessary and potential questions from the Town Council. Christopher, Ginny and Chris will meet with Bonnie to review further in anticipation of being on an April Town Council agenda.

Discussed rebates available from Community Energy relative to the number of residents who also sign up with them and the forms necessary to record that. Tabled customizing forms or favoring Community Energy in public outreach pending DPUC's determination of whether Community Energy's contract with the State will be renewed this summer.

  5. The site assessment report for potential siting of the earned photovoltaic array has not been received from the CT Clean Energy Fund's contractor yet.
  6. Ginny reported 167.5 sign-ups in the CT Clean Energy Options Program, 1 less than last month.

Judy found the 2000 US Census and 2005 CDECD indicate Wethersfield has 11,214 or 11, 523 households, respectively. It's understood the CT Clean Energy Fund will install an additional PV array when 10% of households sign up, too.

  7. Michael presented a draft notice for posting on Wethersfield Community Television's "bulletin." Michael will make the edits discussed for review at the next meeting.

Joe left at 5:45 p.m.

  1. Michael shared news of solar panels included in Cromwell school renovations and inquired about requiring all Town building projects to include solar panels. He will bring it up at the Green Summit.

Judy moved to adjourn. Michael seconded. Approved unanimously. Adjourned at 6:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Christopher Shepard
