The Town of Wethersfield will begin the Paving Program starting this Thursday, September 18th at the intersection of Two Rod Highway and Highland Street. The preparation work being performed by General Paving & Construction, will be completed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., requiring this INTERSECTION TO BE CLOSED for access via Two Rod Highway. No traffic other than emergency vehicles will be allowed thru this portion of Two Rod Highway. Both Highland Street and Hang Dog Lane will remain open through the intersection. Two Rod Highway will be temporarily paved and will reopen to traffic after 1 p.m. All work will be supervised by town staff. Wethersfield Police will be on hand to direct traffic. Residents are requested to avoid the area and to seek alternate routes.
