Form of Government

The Town of Wethersfield has a Council/Manager form of government. The Town Council sets policy and programs for the community. It consists of nine members who serve two year terms. The Town Manager is a paid administrator who helps implement the policies set by the council. The mayor and deputy mayor are selected by a majority vote of the nine members at the first meeting following an election.

 

Council Meetings

Town Council meetings are typically held the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers in the Town Hall, 505 Silas Deane Highway.

Either the Mayor or a member of Council will be available to meet with citizens on Thursdays preceding the first Council meeting of the month, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Town Manager's Conference Room, 505 Silas Deane Highway.
