Department Description
The Engineering Division provides engineering and surveying expertise in all matters relating to municipal engineering and designs and implements capital improvement projects for the Town of Wethersfield. The division is responsible for preparing and administering the capital budget; providing technical assistance to building committees, monitoring annual sidewalk maintenance, line striping and street pavement maintenance programs; reviewing proposed development plans for various boards and commissions; licensing and permitting; street excavations; administering the survey, mapping and technical requirements of a town wide Geographic Information System; monitoring subcontractor work for implementation and payment; and in general, assuring that the interests of the town residents are met in all engineering and surveying matters.
