Transfer Station Adds Electronics Recycling

Beginning March 13, 2009, the Town of Wethersfield's Transfer Station will have an Electronics Recycling Container. Residents will be able to drop off computers, mice, keyboards, monitors, televisions (2 a year per resident), video cassette recorders, DVD players, iPods, PDAs, cell phones, stereo and radio equipment, printers, copiers, telephones, cables, modems, typewriters and fax machines in the Electronics Container free of charge. This container will reduce waste costs for the town, while benefitting the environment by keeping the electronic waste out of the solid waste stream.

The Transfer Station is located at 100 Marsh Street, hours of operation are Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m to 3:45 p.m.
