Income-Eligible Energy Conservation Services

The Town of Wethersfield's Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge reminds homeowners to take advantage of the Home Energy Solutions program before energy costs increase this winter. The program's home energy audits help identify ways to conserve energy and save money on utility bills. Typically a $750 service, they are available to homeowners for $75 or for qualified low income homeowners and renters they are FREE.

Residents can expect to save about $100 per year on their electricity bill.

Specialists evaluate a home's energy efficiency and then install compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), caulk cracks and air leaks around windows and doors, and install water-saving faucets and showerheads. Qualified low income residents also may receive attic or wall insulation or replace inefficient appliances FREE.

Go to the sign-up page to learn more and sign up for a Home Energy Solutions program home energy audit. If you have a fixed or low income, contact Chamae Munroe at 860-372-4406 to determine whether you qualify for the Home Energy Solutions-Income Eligible version.

The Home Energy Solutions program is a service of the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund. Wethersfield's Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge is a collaborative project of state agencies and towns funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
