The safety of our children is a major priority for the Wethersfield Police Department. Therefore, the Wethersfield Police Department will complete a complimentary fingerprint and identification form specially designed for children. Because fingerprints never change, they serve as a helpful tool in locating a child should the need ever arise.
The Child Personal Safety Record, which includes the child's fingerprints and an area for the child's photo, will be given to the child's parent or guardian in order for it to be updated on a regular basis.
