CHILD, YOUTH AND FAMILY COUNSELING

Counseling for children,youth and families is available to Wethersfield residents. Referrals are accepted through the schools, police, other youth service agencies, as well as parents and/or individuals. Fees are determined on a sliding scale and no one is refused service based on inability to pay. Counseling is done on an appointment basis; to inquire about services please call Pat Meskill at (860) 721-2977.

CRISIS INTERVENTION

Department clinical staff are available to provide crisis intervention services, information and referral on an emergency basis. Call the department at (860) 721-2977. During non working hours, contact the Wethersfield Police Department at (860) 721-2900.

JUVENILE DIVERSION PROGRAM

The Juvenile Diversion Program is offered to first time offenders, fifteen years of age or under, that have committed a minor crime. Juveniles are diverted from the courts into this program and are required to perform community service and participate in several meetings with their assigned Youth Services Counselor; parents are also involved.
